French to English translator with more than eight years of experience in a variety of subject matters: legal, medical, financial, academic, the arts and literature. My international clients have included a Chevalier des Arts et Lettres, a cutting-edge theater group, academic institutions, art and culture periodicals, distinguished law firms as well as insurance and cosmetic companies.
Originally from California, I studied art history and French at New York University before diving head first into the translation world at a well-respected translation agency in Manhattan, where I worked for several years. After eight years in the “City that Never Sleeps,” I exchanged it for the “City of Light” for over ten years. In early 2019, I relocated to Aix-en-Provence, where I am currently enjoying the never-ending sunlight and southern charm. I received a Masters in French language and civilization with a specialization in translation studies through New York University in Paris and then, most recently, obtained a Masters in art history at l’Université de Paris 1. An avid reader, traveler, food-lover and antiques enthusiast, I believe each translation should read as if it is not one.
